Pinay Jessica Reynoso New Member of Black Eyed Peas

 Former the Voice of the Philippines Season 1 Contestant Jessica Reynoso is now part of the group Black Eyed Peas. Yes! Reynoso is now a member of the group Black Eyed Peas. 

“I am going to work hard to make her known international.” These were apl.de.ap’s words in 2013 after successfully recruiting into his team Jessica Reynoso in the first-ever season of “The Voice of the Philippines.”

“I was fortunate na naging part ako ng ‘The Voice,’ and I love doing that show para makadiskubre ako ng mga bagong talents sa Pilipinas,” he began, with Reynoso at his side.

“Ngayon po, you’re probably wondering kung sino ang kasama naming kumakanta sa stage. I would like to take this moment para ipakilala siya. Galing siya sa ‘The Voice’ Season 1. Galing po sa atin ‘yan, ha. Taga-Laguna siya,” apl.de.ap added.

The New Organization of Miss Universe Philippines

The new national director of Miss Universe Philippines is no other than Miss Universe Philippines 201 Shamcey Supsup. Yes For more than half a century, the Miss Universe Organization has decided to break away from the Araneta Group and Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. She will be joined by designer Albert Andrada as the Design Council Head, talent manager Jonas Gaffud as the Creative Director, Miss Universe Philippines 2006 Lia Ramos as Head of Women Empowerment Committee and Charity, Atty. Nad Bronce as Head of Legal Affairs, and Mario Garcia as Business Development/ Marketing Head.

The official statement was posted on the official Facebook page of the Miss Universe Philippines Organization, where it read:

“The Miss Universe Organization expresses its heartfelt gratitude to the Araneta Group and Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. for their more than 50 years of stewardship of the Miss Universe brand and franchise in the Philippines.

“Both organizations have made an indelible mark in the international pageant scene for celebrating the intelligence, beauty and grace of hundreds of Filipina queens, and for garnering several international titles through the years.

“Undeniably, the most prestigious of these titles continues to be the coveted Miss Universe Philippines. The foundation and fundamentals of Philippine Pageantry are known worldwide to be solid and shall endure all because of the hard work and commitment of the Araneta Group and BPCI.”

It added, “The Miss Universe Organization is thrilled to announce its partnership with the Miss Universe Philippines Organization - a fresh team that will lead the country towards its continued quest to share the beauty and grace of the Filipina to the rest of the world.”

Former environment and natural resources secretary Gina Lopez on Monday passed away at age of 65, the ABS-CBN Corp. announced.

“Gina was the pillar of strength that pushed ABS-CBN Foundation Inc. (AFI) to achieve what seemed to be impossible. Her caring heart and selfless kind of love inspired people within and beyond the organization to help and serve others,” ABS-CBN said in a statement posted on its news website.

Regina Paz "Gina" La'O López was a Filipino environmentalist and philanthropist who served as the Chairperson of the Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission. She served as Secretary of the Philippines' Department of Environment and Natural Resources in an ad interim basis under President Rodrigo Duterte.

'Mga Batnag Poz' Promoting HIV awareness is the main goal of iWant's newest advocacy series "Mga Batang Poz."

Starring Awra Briguela, Fino Herrera, Paolo Gumabao and Mark Neumann, the series which tells the story of four HIV-positive teens will start streaming exclusively on iWant on Friday, July 26.

Directed by Chris Martinez, the six-episode series will shed light on HIV and give hope to HIV-positive people and their love ones. The series is based on the best-selling novel by Palanca-winning author Segundo Matias Jr.

The Philippines has the fastest-growing HIV epidemic in the Asia-Pacific region, according to the Department of Health (DOH). Majority of these infections are also reported to be among young people aged 15 to 24, said the Philippine National AIDS Council in 2018. This year, DOH reported that 38 new HIV cases are reported daily, up from last year’s 32.

He confirmed that being called gay is not new to him, and he’s been called that even when he was a young school boy.

“Kasi ang puti ko, ang linis ko lagi, I always go to school neat, clean, nakaayos ang buhok, malinis ang uniporme, so hindi po siya bago sa akin e,” he narrated.

Was this hurtful? Sky said yes, but he eventually learned to brush it off.

Sky answered, “Of course, nung una, siyempre bata, siyempre nakakasakit po yun ng loob bilang ang pagtingin sa akin ay masama. Ang pagtingin sa akin ay iba. I took offense for those things. But as time went by, nung nag-college, natutunan ko po yung ganitong pananaw. Kung paano natin tingnan ang tao e hindi dapat base sa kanyang gender. Hindi dahil lalaki siya o babae. Simple lang kuya. Tingnan natin kung paano siya pag sa pagiging tao.”

Sky also continued to explain what he knows about gender identity. He knows he is a boy, but he’s open to experiencing love across all genders.

“Now I see myself as a heterosexual male, but if you would ask me kuya, if I am open to maybe falling in love to another man, to a gay person, to a lesbian? I don’t see anything wrong about that kuya. Ayoko pong maging mabiktima ng mga labels. Ayoko pong maging parte nung pagvi-victimize ng ibang tao. So if you ask me Kuya I’ll be open. Ang mas pinaniniwalaan ko po not the gender but I’m serious about love, I’m serious about falling in love. Seryoso po ako sa pag-ibig. At sa tingin ko po yun ang mas makapangyarihan, pag-ibig over any gender,” he said.
